The shelter-in-place order has lasted much longer than any of us imagined. We're grateful that we've managed to stay afloat during this challenging time, but we are reaching a critical inflection point. We are reaching out to you for financial support to help us weather the situation so that we will all have a beautiful studio to return to once the pandemic has passed.

Our goal is to raise $10,000. This will cover several months' rent, which is our biggest expense. To meet this ambitious goal, we will need your help spreading the word widely to your communities. If enough people can help, we can do this!

If you are someone who loves BYC as much as we do, and you want to see us survive, please consider helping us out. There are a few different ways you can do this.

Make a donation. Any amount, large or small, will be gratefully received. You can make your donation directly to BYC via Venmo: @Berkeley-YogaCenter or PayPal: Checks may also be sent to 2121 Bonar St., Studio C, Berkeley, CA 94702.

Rent props from our studio. Of course, you can easily buy your own props, but if you haven't yet, and you need some and you want to help us out, consider renting a bundle of props (two blocks, two blankets, a bolster) for $25/month. Contact Cybèle at if you are interested.

Participate in Benefit Classes for BYC in the month of October. A number of our teachers are graciously offering their teaching time to benefit BYC. Mark your calendar now! Below is the schedule so far, and you can email each teacher directly for more details, or click on the link provided. Payments for classes should come directly to BYC.
